The General Director of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Arturo Reyes Sandoval, acknowledged the work of the deans of schools, centers, and units because, he stated, they are agents of change, highlighting the values, identity, and history of this educational institution.

During the regular meeting in a hybrid format with the Collegiate Body of Deans and accompanied by the President of the Deanship, Modesto Cárdenas García, and the General Secretary, Carlos Ruiz Cárdenas, the head of the Politécncio assured them that they represent the voice of the polytechnic community, a voice with a historical perspective and a vision for the future.

He emphasized that their work is of great importance for the safeguarding and preservation of the Historical Archive, as well as for gathering information about institutional activities in order to conduct historical research within this academic institution. Furthermore, their contributions allow for the exaltation of polytechnic values and identity to address the problems and needs of the present and future.

Therefore, he called for continued efforts to address the needs of the polytechnic community, with the purpose of continuing the legacy of President Lázaro Cárdenas, which is to support the most vulnerable sectors and contribute to the country's development.

In his turn, the President of the Deanship, Professor Modesto Cárdenas, expressed gratitude for the support of the Director General of the IPN for promoting research on the history of the Institute. He stated that they will remain a bridge of dialogue to explore alternatives aimed at solving the issues of the units that make up the maroon and white classrooms.
