With the aim of eradicating violence against women, the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and the Human Rights Commission of the State of Campeche (Codhecam) signed a collaboration agreement and a license contract that allows the dissemination of the "Violentometer" in 42 public and private higher education institutions, as well as in the 13 municipalities of the state.

The General Director of the Politécnico, Arturo Reyes Sandoval, and the president of the Campeche organization, Ligia Nicthe Ha Rodríguez Mejía, signed the agreement as part of the agreements, and the edition in the Maya language was confirmed.

"This alliance leaves a mark in southeastern Mexico," expressed the head of the IPN, Reyes Sandoval, while Rodríguez Mejía thanked the collaboration to add mechanisms and tools "in the battle in defense of dignity."

Reyes Sandoval said that the great work done by the Commission to expand "this tool" shows the level of organization and collaboration with the Ministry of Public Education of Campeche.

He also stated that this information must reach young people and achieve social justice that reaffirms the role of women and guarantees their right to non-violence.

The president of Codhecam, Ligia Nicthe-Ha, reported that in Campeche there are one million inhabitants, 70 thousand Maya people, of which 51 percent are women, and 10.04 percent speak an indigenous language. Faced with the physical, social, psychological, and patrimonial violence they experience from childhood, "the human rights commission could not fail to appreciate the value of this 'Violentometer' tool."

For her part, the director of the Polytechnic Unit for Gender Perspective Management, Elizabeth Cabrera Chávez, expressed during the protocol ceremony that the IPN's goal is to promote social transformation in the eradication of violence through the didactic tool created in 2009 to make expressions of violence visible.

The event was attended by the Director-General of Upper and Upper Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education of Campeche, María Cristina Gómez Ojeda; the defender of Polytechnic Rights, Isabel Cristina Muñoz Kobayashi, and the Secretaries-General, Academic, and Innovation and Social Integration of the IPN, Carlos Ruiz Cárdenas, Mauricio Igor Jasso Zaranda, and Yessica Gasca Castillo, respectively.
