Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Comisión de Operación y Fomento de Actividades Académicas (COFAA), an entity that carefully listens to the needs of each academic unit of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, the acquisition of 13 model 2023 vans for the benefit of school communities was achieved. In recognition of this achievement, the General Director of the IPN, Arturo Reyes Sandoval, personally handed over 10 vehicles.
"There has been a great transformation, many positive changes, and everyone is responsible for them, from the students who ask us and tell us what is needed in their schools to the directors, teachers, administrators, each member of the General Directorate, and the secretariats. Again, I congratulate COFAA for that great commitment that has been renewed; all these actions will be reflected in higher quality in Polytechnic education," he stated.
Accompanied by the director of El Once, Carlos Brito Lavalle, the head of the IPN highlighted that, during the current administration, COFAA has managed to obtain 50 to 100 times more donations to equip academic units and, in this case, provide vehicles for their school activities.
On his part, the head of COFAA, Noel Miranda Mendoza, indicated that the acquisition and delivery of these vehicles are the result of the work of all academic units and the communities that comprise them.
"COFAA will always be by your side, supporting you to continue achieving the results required to promote each of your activities in your educational centers," he stated to those present at the event, held in the parking lot of the "Wilfrido Massieu" stadium.
The academic units that received the vehicle in person were the Centros de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos (CECyT) 9 “Juan de Dios Bátiz”, 18 “Zacatecas”, and 19 “Leona Vicario”the Escuelas Superiores de Ingeniería Textil (ESIT) and the Ingeniería y Arquitectura (ESIA), Ticomán Unit; Escuela Nacional de Medicina y Homeopatía (ENMH); as well as the Centros Interdisciplinarios de Ciencias de la Salud (CICS), Milpa Alta and Santo Tomás units, and the Unidades Profesionales Interdisciplinarias de Ingeniería Guanajuato and Palenque campuses.
