IPN to hold Expo Profesiográfica of the Middle High School level

To publicize the educational offer among those aspiring to enter the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), this university will hold the Expo Profesiográfica of the Middle Highschool level 2023 from January 12 to 22. Unlike previous editions, this year it will be completed on-site and has the slogan: "Internationalize yourself and open your doors to the world".

Applicants who are about to conclude their secondary education studies will learn about the 41 study plans and programs offered by the IPN in the areas of physics-mathematics, medical-biological, social sciences, and administration.

They will receive information from the 19 Centros de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos (Centers for Scientific and Technological Studies) (Cecyt) and the Centros de Estudios Tecnológicos (Center for Technological Studies) (CET) that the Polytechnic has, 17 in Mexico City and the metropolitan area, as well as in the states of Hidalgo, Guanajuato, and Zacatecas.

The Academic Secretary of the IPN, Mauricio Igor Jasso Zaranda, explained that students will learn about the four types of baccalaureate offered: General Poli Virtual, which can be taken in two and a half years; Tecnológico Bivalente, offering 15 study programs; Mixto, which consists of three academic programs, as well as Escolarizado, which is taught in 20 academic units.

The Expo Profesiográfica of the Middle High School level will be held from January 12 to 22, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the "Jaime Torres Bodet" Cultural Center of the "Adolfo López Mateos" Professional Unit in Zacatenco. Attendees will be able to take, free of charge, a simulation of the knowledge test to enter the IPN's upper secondary level, as well as a self-diagnosis of English language skills and a vocational orientation test.

In addition, IPN applicants will have the opportunity to take virtual tours of the academic units through interactive screens. During the expo, lectures will be given by IPN graduates, who will share their experiences. There will also be experimental workshops to awaken the scientific and innovative vocation of young people, as well as demonstrations of prototypes and robot combat built by Cecyt students.

Jasso Zaranda pointed out that the slogan "Internationalize yourself and open your doors to the world" has the objective that the aspirants get to know the teaching processes in educational institutions in other countries, with which the IPN has links.
