Cantilever Engineering & Construction, through its authorized distributor in Mexico, G&W Electric, has donated state-of-the-art industrial equipment to the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (ESIME), Zacatenco Unit, benefiting over 2,500 students in the Electrical Engineering program.

In the "Ing. Sergio Viñals Padilla" auditorium at ESIME, it was announced that the new equipment consists of a Trident®-S line switch, used in underground electrical distribution networks.

Leading the donation ceremony, the General Director of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Arturo Reyes Sandoval, emphasized that students will now have the opportunity to practice with equipment identical to what is used in the industry today, particularly in areas such as distribution lines and networks, and electrical systems protection.

He highlighted the advantages of this new generation of switches, which offer high capacity and compact size, unlike previous technology, enabling quicker, optimal installation, and efficient operation.

Reyes Sandoval noted that previously, companies would send schools technology that had reached the end of its lifespan for academic purposes. However, on this occasion, ESIME Zacatenco received cutting-edge equipment, facilitating advancements in laboratory equipment.

In addition, the Regional Vice President of Sales in Mexico for G&W Electric, Daniel Flores Illescas, mentioned that to meet future objectives and goals, they considered the Politéchico as a breeding ground for highly skilled engineers to integrate into their workforce, which has a national and international presence.

Cantilever Engineering & Construction specializes in the distribution of electrical equipment, design, and management of electromechanical networks and telecommunications networks for AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) meters. G&W Electric Mexico is a global leader in electrical power equipment, investing in research and development to deliver electrical solutions for the future.
