With a series of conferences and workshops on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and professional opportunities providing training and fostering computer culture at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Google Cloud Day was presented, organized by the Centro Nacional de Cálculo (Cenac), at the Escuela Superior de Cómputo (Escom).

The general coordinator of Cenac thanked the attendance of the Education Programs Manager, Elisa Nájera, and the Education Leader for North Latin America at Google Cloud, Lauro García, as well as the presence of Angélica Meneses, Emilio Oropeza, and Eduardo Macedo, polytechnic graduates who currently work at the company.

The director highlighted that the objective of the Secretariat of Innovation and Social Integration and the CENAC is to provide students and teachers from upper secondary and higher education with various emerging technologies available in the market for their prompt job insertion.

The event was attended by students from the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (ESIME), Zacatenco and Culhuacán units; from the interdisciplinary professional units of Engineering and Advanced Technologies (UPIITA) and Engineering and Social Sciences and Administration (UPIICSA), as well as from the Escuela Superior de Cómputo.

Testimonies of beneficiaries of the Crece con Google program for women in STEM areas (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) were highlighted, allowing polytechnic graduates to enhance their professional profile through cloud computing credentials and certifications.

Google in Mexico aims to provide teachers, administrators, and students of all educational levels with the opportunity to have fully free technology training processes that provide a competitive advantage and learning paths on its Google Cloud Skills Boost platform with practices in digital skills, soft skills, cloud applications, and artificial intelligence.
