In just the last three years, Fundación Politécnico has provided contributions totaling over one billion and fifteen million pesos to the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, a figure that far exceeds the efforts of previous years and demonstrates, as noted by the director general of this academic institution, the dedication and commitment shown by the members of this organization.
During the 12th Meeting of the Board of Directors 2022-2024 of Fundación Politécnico, held at El Once facilities, the head of IPN recalled some of the significant contributions facilitated by Fundación Politécnico, such as the GEnx 1B70C model engine, utilized in a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, provided by Aeroméxico; the renovation of laboratories; the donation of nine thousand state-of-the-art computer systems and dental chairs; the provision of equipment for the Politécnico television station, Radio IPN, and the "Jaime Torres Bodet" Cultural Center.
He acknowledged the efforts of each member of the Board, as well as strategic allies, in improving the infrastructure of IPN. Thanks to the donations received through the Foundation, he noted, the quality of education provided can be enhanced to ensure the graduation of high-quality students, thereby increasing the prestige of Politécnico and solidifying its position as the top institution for employability nationwide.
Meanwhile, the director of the Fundación Politécnico emphasized that mutual trust is what has driven the unprecedented synergy between IPN and this organization over the past three years.
Various topics were discussed during the session, including requests for furniture and equipment from schools affiliated with the Institute, scholarships for students pursuing postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, results of the Adopt a Scholar Program, and the future composting plant that will bring multiple benefits to Politécnico.
