To promote the internationalization of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), members of the Directorate of Foreign Language Training shared the various actions implemented to strengthen the teaching and learning of English among IPN students in Brighton, United Kingdom, during the 57th Conference of the International Association for Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL).

IPN was invited to this event, where they presented the conference titled "Eliminating Inequality Barriers in Language Learning in Higher Education," which discussed a project that leverages the experience of teachers in designing digital resources to create a virtual English program at the upper secondary level, providing access to free resources and materials designed by IPN teachers.

The IPN delegation shared the Operational Alliance Agreement established between IPN and the British Council through the poster presentation "Strengthening English Language Teaching in IPN Higher Education." This poster detailed the agreement between these two institutions, which will enable the design of a continuous professional development program for teachers at the upper secondary, higher education, and postgraduate levels, as well as at the Foreign Language Centers (Cenlex), Santo Tomás and Zacatenco Units.

IATEFL is a global organization of English teachers based in the United Kingdom, created to support professional development and offer a platform for exchanging research and teaching experiences in English.
