The establishment of the Centro de Desarrollo Aeroespacial (CDA) marks a milestone in the educational and technological trajectory of the country. It represents the future of exploration and innovation in this sector, and its team of researchers boasts an excellent background to tackle significant challenges and enhance Mexico's position on the global stage. This was emphasized by the General Director of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional when appointing and delivering the appointment as head of this Center to Diego Alfredo Padilla Pérez.
"The Politécnico has been present in crucial times and moments requiring transformation. I am confident that with you being part of this important Center, we will be able to address and work on the challenges that are being presented to us today. Rather than challenges that frighten us, I know that for many, they bring a smile because they understand and believe that this is what the Politécnico does. So, we welcome them with open arms."
He highlighted that important tasks lie ahead, and the trust placed in the IPN to place Mexico in space must not be disappointed. Therefore, the Center for Aerospace Development of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional must face the new challenges of traversing space and deploying satellites beyond the atmosphere.
He recalled the significant participation of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in leading the mission to the stratosphere, coordinated by NASA, and noted that the fifth mission involving researchers, teachers, and Polytechnic students for the creation of low-earth orbit satellites is already planned.
The head of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional pointed out that the Center for Aerospace Development requires expansion in its facilities, as well as equipment to undertake its research. Therefore, efforts are being made to provide it with everything necessary for the tasks entrusted to it.
