Students from the Center for Scientific and Technological Studies (CECyT) 12 "José María Morelos" demonstrated their innovative capabilities during the Classroom Project event.
A total of 1,200 students from the technical programs in Computer Science, Administration, Digital Marketing, and Accounting presented their ideas aimed at solving social problems through 32 projects addressing topics such as sustainability, innovation, polytechnic identity, virtual reality, and addictions.
One of the highlighted projects was a free application that, using a QR code, allows users to tour the Tezozómoc Museum from a mobile device with an Android operating system. Sixth-semester students in the Computer Science Technician program created an easy-to-use interface that guides the user through each of the museum’s scientific dissemination halls.
In the realm of sustainability, Digital Marketing Technician students developed “Filtwash,” a project aimed at water saving and reuse. This prototype allows for the reuse of sink water for toilet flushing, promoting more efficient use of water resources.
Another innovative project was “Virtual Reality in Education,” which facilitates the understanding of certain subjects through an interactive and playful application.
Using virtual reality headsets, students incorporated history topics, allowing users to relive historical moments, interact with significant figures, and take virtual museum tours.
In addition to the mentioned projects, the event included initiatives on polytechnic identity, school reforestation, and exhibitions of various cultures in English. As part of the activities, fourth-semester students in the Administration Technician program created a life-sized piñata of a donkey, crafted by a family of artisans specializing in piñata making.
