To promote and share the millenary cultural and historical wealth of Indigenous peoples, the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) hosted the 15th Indigenous Languages and Literature Festival "Librado Silva Galeana." This year's event focused on the heritage of Teziutlán, Puebla, and Ixcateopan de Cuauhtémoc, Guerrero.

During the inauguration, Marco Antonio Sosa Palacios, Secretary of Educational Services, emphasized that the festival provides a space to engage in dialogue with the valuable cultural contributions of indigenous communities. Alejandro González Pérez, Director of Tourism of Teziutlán, and Juan Carlos Rodríguez Barrera, Mayor of Ixcateopan de Cuauhtémoc, both underscored the festival's significance in honoring the history of these regions.

Held at the Jaime Torres Bodet Cultural Center, highlights included the roundtable discussion "On the Discovery of Ixcateopan, Guerrero," the exhibition "Ixcateopan, the Town Hanging from Science: The Discovery of Ixcateopan, Guerrero," and a presentation on the heroic feats of the last Huey Tlatoani of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Cuauhtémoc.

Other notable events included a conference on the scientific work of Eulalia Guzmán and a performance by the Calpullis dance troupe, which toured the academic units of the Adolfo López Mateos Professional Unit. Additionally, there was an embroidery exhibition from San Sebastián, Teziutlán.

Organized by the Directorate of Cultural Outreach, the festival — held from September 18 to 23 — also extended to other IPN academic units. The Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Textil (ESIT) hosted a workshop and exhibition by the San Sebastián embroiderers, while the Centro de Lenguas Extranjeras (Cenlex), Zacatenco Unit, offered a talk on the Nahuatl language variant.

In the Escuela Superior de Turismo (EST), there was a traditional cuisine workshop led by expert cooks, while the Escuela Nacional de Medicina y Homeopatía (ENMH) featured a talk titled "Use of Traditional Medicine Through Herbalism," both activities led by experts from Teziutlán.
