The functions of a Metrology and Quality Control Technician include metrology, standardization, technical regulation, and certification.

Quality management and control technologies are added to the basic functions; the importance of these services for productive development is evident, especially in the internationalization of innovation and production processes.

• Perform the necessary tests to verify the physical properties of the different materials used in the metal-mechanical industry that certify the reliability of the products in the industrial field and that comply with the requirements of the established norms.
• Handle Autocad 2D software for the elaboration of mechanical drawings.
• Handle conventional machines and tools in their basic operations.
• Handle the operation techniques of machines and tools.

To enroll in the Middle Highschool with Technical Studies of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), the applicant must comply with the requirements established by the assignment contest of the Comisión Metropolitana de Instituciones Públicas de Educación Media Superior (COMIPEMS). Once the results are published, the student must complete the enrollment process as mentioned in the call for applications.
