Description

The work of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technician is to design, install, operate and maintain low and medium voltage electrical systems to support production processes by current regulations.

Candidate's Profile

Knowledge

  • Classes are given in Spanish
  • Apply the knowledge acquired during the common core having accredited the second semester of the bivalent baccalaureate at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
  • Have disciplinary training in basic mathematics that will allow him/her to understand the concepts and disciplinary vocabulary in the area of electrical installations and maintenance.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in a collaborative work context at the oral and written level.
  • Be able to handle the computer at the user level, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet navigation, and use of e-mails.
  • Proficient technical reading level in English for text comprehension.

  • Have mathematical skills.
  • Interpret and understand manuals, plans, and diagrams.
  • Have skills and dexterity in the handling of tools.
  • Be creative in problem-solving.
  • Handle computer equipment.

  • Develop and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Validates the operation of electrical installations and systems through the use of instruments for measuring electrical magnitudes.
  • Executes residential, commercial and industrial electrical installations, applying technical procedures and using the required tools and equipment.
  • Operates control elements of electrical systems and equipment using analog and digital circuits.
