Formation of highly trained and competitive Chemical Laboratory Technicians in the physical, chemical, and biological analysis of food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals in general; with an attitude of service. Possessors of civic and ethical values committed to work interacting with professionalism in the industrial activity of our country.

The students of this career are prepared for life overcoming the challenges that Education 4.0 demands, and upon completion of their studies will be ready for the social and labor impact that today demands the Institute in its internationalization.

Candidate's Profile

Knowledge

  • Classes are given in Spanish.
  • Basic knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, history, geography, civics, mathematics, reading, writing, English, and computers.

  • To handle material and operate chemical laboratory equipment.
  • To assemble chemical analysis devices in the laboratory.
  • To analyze and interpret chemical laboratory results.

  • Raw Materials and Chemicals.
  • Handles and operates laboratory equipment to perform chemical analysis.
  • Assembles analytical devices in the chemical laboratory.
  • Prepares titrated solutions and verifies their concentration.
  • Identifies and classifies laboratory equipment.
  • Performs sensory evaluation tests on food.
  • Propose solutions and improvements to chemical processes to avoid environmental contamination through regulatory compliance and good manufacturing practices.

Academic Requirements

To enroll in the Middle Highschool with Technical Studies of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), the applicant must comply with the requirements established by the assignment contest of the Comisión Metropolitana de Instituciones Públicas de Educación Media Superior (COMIPEMS). Once the results are published, the student must complete the enrollment process as mentioned in the call for applications.
