The Clinical Laboratory Technician career is a career recognized for its quality and updated curriculum and programs, as well as the teaching staff that teaches them.

The objective of the Clinical Laboratory Technician is to contribute to the development of the country's activity by generating sources of employment and foreign exchange.

The students of this career are prepared for life by overcoming the challenges that Education 4.0 demands and upon completion of their studies they will be ready for the social and labor impact that the Institute demands today in its internationalization.

• Applies the procedures and techniques for the handling of reagents, materials, and clinical laboratory equipment based on the official Mexican standards.
• Applies techniques for bacteriological, immunological, hematological, and parasitological diagnosis; qualitative and quantitative techniques for the clinical and metabolic evaluation of the patient.
• Applies bioethical procedures in the relationship between the clinical laboratory technician and the patient.

To enroll in the Middle Highschool with Technical Studies of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), the applicant must comply with the requirements established by the assignment contest of the Comisión Metropolitana de Instituciones Públicas de Educación Media Superior (COMIPEMS). Once the results are published, the student must complete the enrollment process as mentioned in the call for applications.
