Objective

To train professionals who actively participate and lead national or international interdisciplinary projects, based on emerging and traditional frameworks of software and its interrelation with hardware and telecommunications, as well as the reflection on the ethical, organizational, ecological, and social implications of its application, for the construction, implementation, and maintenance of information technology solutions.

Candidate's Profile

The applicant to enter Computer Engineering must meet the requirements established by the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, preferably from the physical-mathematical area or related to computer science, with basic knowledge of English, interested in the Development of high-quality Software and its link with the Internet of Things, Information Security, and Cloud Computing, as well as an attitude towards dialogue, innovation, creativity, information search, and teamwork.

Graduate's profile

The Computer Engineer is an interdisciplinary professional leader and entrepreneur who meets the needs and requirements of national or international, public or private organizations of any sector and line of business, through innovative information technology solutions, under an ethical and socially responsible context through the Development and Implementation of Software and its link to the Internet under an ethical and socially responsible context through the Development and Implementation of Software and its link with the Internet of Things, the , Data Analytics, Information Security and Cloud Computing, contributes in an innovative, sustainable and equitable way, in the improvement of the substantive activities of organizations for economic, social, technological and public policy development.

Work Field

The Computer Science Engineer works in national and international, public or private organizations of any sector and line of business -including consulting and entrepreneurship- that require high quality information technology solutions, meeting needs in the areas of Software Development, Information Security, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing, at a managerial, operational and research level.
