Aeronautical Engineering

Objective

To form engineers with essential knowledge on a varied number of disciplines in Aeronautics and allow the students to perform proficiently in the fields of research, design, construction, installation, operation, maintenance and administration of aircraft systems as well as the operation of support infrastructure in air transport companies and institutions.

Candidate’s Profile

  • Have a strong knowledge in mathematics, algebra, trigonometry and analytic geometry, understand the differential and integrated calculus basis as well as Newton laws and unit conversions.
    • Be a responsible student which means scheduling time for studying.
    • Have a curious nature which leads you to find answer to your questions.
    • Understand the importance of teamwork, solidarity and honesty.
    • Speak English and read for pleasure are two important aspects.

A large number of IPN Aeronautical engineers are currently working in companies such as Aeroméxico, PEMEX, CFE, The Electric Research Institution, General Motors, General Electric and other companies focused on service and production fields besides working in national and international institutions of education, research and development of new technologies.
