To train engineers who participate in the social, economic and industrial development of the country, through technology and science application while solving problems related to production of consumer goods, services and care of the environment, mainly in industries with transformation processes involving chemical and physicochemical changes in materials.
Students who have completed high school studies and who wish to study the academic program of Industrial Chemical Engineering must have basic knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics with, preferably, a good level of English, oral and written communication skills, willingness and ability to work collaboratively and intellectual maturity for meaningful learning.

Design and operate processes based on the concept of Green Chemistry.
Apply ethical and moral principles in their professional and personal performance. Care for and maintain polytechnic principles, offering services to the country and its inhabitants.
