Objective

To train highly competent professionals in the Biotechnological field who can contribute to the national welfare and development by applying and generating knowledge that supply for the productive and social needs.

Candidate’s Profile

  • High school certificate in physics mathematics or medical biology areas.
    • Sit the IPN entry examination
    • Comply with all the other requirements established in the IPN entry regulations.
    • Background knowledge in biology, organic chemistry, mathematics, physics, English and IT.

Graduate´s profile

Knowledge

  • Mathematics, chemistry, biology and communication sciences relevant for the development of Biotechnology Engineering and rational use of natural resources.
  • Production engineering and recovery of biotechnological products.
  • Social development, ethics, economy, and management relevant to the understanding of the economical-social context and the development of technology-based companies and self-employment.
  • Grammar, phonetics and syntax of English and Spanish.

    Skills

    Design, develop, operate and optimize bioprocesses for the production and recovery of biotechnological products.

Academic Requirements

Comply in a timely manner with each of the stages of the admission process highlighted in the call for entry to the university system at IPN and show documents such as:

  • High school Certificate.
  • Secondary School Certificate.
  • Unique Code of Population Registration (CURP).
  • Birth certificate.
  • Pass the entry examination.
  • 6 credential photographs.
