Research is a process that is not only carried out in laboratories by professionals in white coats; we all perform this process daily when we review a product, its price, and its benefits. However, digital marketing specialists must continuously conduct this analysis to design successful sales strategies.
This was expressed by Professor Óscar Fernando Niño Romero, a specialist in educational innovation and digital marketing, during the conference "Digital Research: Key to Understanding and Developing Strategies for Mercado Libre and Amazon." He explained how the algorithms of these two sales companies work and encouraged students to build a research community focused on digital consulting.
This review of digital marketing research was part of the Research Bootcamp 2024, held at the Centro de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos (CECyT) 12 "José María Morelos," with renowned scientists such as David Jaramillo Vigueras and Irina Lijanova, both from the Centro de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica (Ciitec) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
Specialists in various scientific disciplines also participated, such as David Ravelo Acuña, Esteban Francisco Medina Bañuelos, Brenely González Penguelly, Carlos Miguel Gutiérrez Ruíz, Irene Soria Guzmán, Gabriel Garduño Guadarrama, and Belén Madeline Sánchez Gervacio, as well as Edna Patricia Quezada Bolaños, a professional in graphic design and augmented and virtual reality.
At the opening of the event, the director of the institution emphasized that science and research are the driving force behind the development of societies and, for their proper functioning, require individuals who are interested in discovering, investigating, and unraveling the secrets that nature has reserved for those who dare to face the challenge of being researchers.
