To unite efforts and collaborate in addressing specific problems in Mexico City with a national impact, the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) signed a general collaboration agreement to conduct research and innovation in areas of common interest.
Through the Secretaría de Educación, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de la Ciudad de México, a joint framework will be created for the development of proposals through the publication of the 2024 call for innovation projects in interinstitutional collaboration between IPN and Tec de Monterrey.
Both institutions are part of the Red de Educación, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de la Ciudad de México, which promotes a culture of linkage and synergy to also trigger an innovation district in Tlalpan. The union of talents will result in valuable projects with a positive impact on society in general.
During the protocol ceremony, the director general of IPN noted that the agreement with ITESM will have social benefits as it promotes much-needed innovation in the country.
He pointed out that innovation partnerships are a great success because they open many paths and projects with technical and scientific relevance, supporting the solution to major national challenges.
In turn, the rector of Professional and Graduate Studies at ITESM stated that Mexico City is an example of how collaboration in science and technology, education, and innovation can have a positive impact, making it important to generate this type of linkage.
Both institutions are part of the Red de Educación, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de la Ciudad de México.
