With the integration of new technologies such as augmented reality and interactive experiences, the Tezozómoc Museum of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) has inaugurated the "Energy Hall," where visitors can dive deep into the world of science in an immersive environment that promotes dynamic and continuous learning.
During the 25th anniversary of the Tezozómoc Museum, Ana Lilia Coria Páez, Secretary of Research and Graduate Studies, emphasized that energy, in all its forms, is the driving force behind human progress and technological evolution. This new space allows visitors to discover and explore energy's application across multiple scientific fields.
She noted that the museum constantly collaborates with various educational institutions to develop programs that enrich its offerings and ensure that the content reflects the latest scientific advancements, guaranteeing that the public receives up-to-date and high-quality information.
Edmundo Omar Matamoros Hernández, Head of the Science and Technology Outreach Division, highlighted the museum's commitment to the general public. Entrance fees will remain at 30 pesos, with discounts available for students, teachers, seniors, and people with disabilities. The museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
María Inés Madinaveitia Ramírez, Coordinator of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Mexico, emphasized the special importance of university and science museums. These institutions showcase the knowledge generated within higher education and scientific research.
The "Energy Hall" is a tribute to one of the fundamental and transformative forces of the universe. Energy, in all its forms, drives human progress and technological evolution. In this new space, visitors embark on a journey to explore how energy manifests and is applied in various scientific fields.
