To develop competencies for research applied to innovation management and local development for the identification, exploitation, and development of opportunities to promote the competitiveness of the different productive sectors (public, private; industrial, and services), as well as in the framework of their local context (rural, urban; municipal, state) to promote social development and welfare based on actions from the private and public sector or through a public-private partnership

Lines of Knowledge Generation and Application

  1. Innovation: Models of IG and innovation policies, analyzed from the perspective of the public and private sectors, for the formulation of applied research to promote innovation, with a local vision, to promote innovation in these areas.
  2. Local development: At the local, municipal, or regional level, the management of public policy focused on local, municipal and regional development based on innovation.
