Program objectives

The Master of Science in Physics Education program offers a professional training alternative for the teaching of physics, as well as for basic and applied research in the processes of learning and teaching physics. In this sense, this postgraduate program is designed to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the training of teachers and researchers to:

• Offer the applicant solid theoretical, methodological, technical, and research training that will enable him/her for the scientific solution to problems related to the teaching-learning process of physics.
• To face with a broad sense the problems posed by the incorporation of knowledge of physics to the didactic system and thus to favor that teaching effectively produces learning.
• To plan, implement and professionally evaluate physics teaching.
• To know the conditions of school physics teaching and to clarify the conditions of learning, to use such knowledge in the improvement of educational processes.
• To interact with national and international organizations to have a greater impact and coverage.
