Candidate’s Profile

A candidate in Communications and Electronics Engineering must show:

Graduate´s profile

Communications and Electronics Engineers, mainly perform the functions of researching, planning, designing, producing, installing, maintaining, operating and direction within the area. All these functions are based on the fact that the educational process gives a wide range of:

    • Graduates have knowledge of basic science and Mathematics, allowing them to develop the Communications and Electronics Engineering Sciences such as
    • Basic knowledge of Electronics, Acoustics, Computer Control, Communications and of their specialty that allows them to propose solutions to the relative problems of the Engineering in Communications and Electronic which can be developed with efficiency.
    • General knowledge of evaluation in projects and administration. Knowledge of the society in which activities will be developed, as well as resources and necessities required for those matters.

    • Graduates in Communications and Electronics Engineering:
    • Are able to apply the knowledge of Basic Sciences and Mathematics, Engineering Sciences, Engineering Application, Social Sciences and Humanities to the solution of concrete problems.
    • Identify problems with the planning, design, production, installation, maintenance of systems oriented to acoustics, computing, communications, control and electronics.
    • Are able to create, innovate, assimilate and adapt the technology in the field of Engineering in Communications and Electronics.
    • Have the ability to observe, interpret and model the phenomena of nature.
    • Have the ability to express themselves correctly and effectively in oral, written and graphic form.
    • Have creativity in solving problems.
    • Have the ability to predict and control the ecological, social and economic impacts of projects.
    • Are able to organize and manage their own work and the development of specific projects, including budgeting, monitoring and evaluation.
    • Have the ability to program and operate computer equipment, as well as to handle and interpret the basic computational packages required in their field.

  • Power electronics, microprocessors, microcontrollers, analogue instrumentation, receivers and television.
  • Digital telephony, information theory, instrumentation, analogue signal processing, microwaves, terrestrial and satellite radio links, data communication networks, digital signal processing.
  • Software engineering, computer networks, digital systems, computer architecture, vision and shape recognition, expert systems, operating systems, graphic simulation.
  • Devices and systems for control of industrial machinery and processes, controlled systems, multivariate control, time-sampled control systems, industrial instrumentation, data acquisition, distributed control.
  • Audio-acoustics, acoustic metrology, psychoacoustics, architectural acoustics, vibrations and noise, bioacoustics, musical acoustics.
